The "Natural Look" Tutorial

What's the point of wearing makeup if you're trying to look like you're not, you ask? Your dark circles and any other imperfections are hidden, you're still highlighting features, but others aren't looking at you thinking, wow, her makeup looks great. They're looking at you thinking, wow, she looks great without makeup on. The key to this look is applying your regular liquid foundation with a beauty blender.
I start off with a freshly washed face
I moisturize my face with Origin's Vitazing face moisturizer
...and Origin's Ginzing eye cream
Then, I use Benefit's 15 hour primer on my cheeks, down my nose, chin and forehead (T-zone). The key to this primer is not rubbing it in. You apply your foundation directly over the primer and then blend.
For a natural face, applying your liquid foundation (I've been using MUFE's Mat Velvet+) with a beauty blender is the best way to go. The damp sponge helps create a flawless, even coverage. Then, I go in with Maybelline's Age Rewind concealer under my eyes and blend out well with the beauty blender.
After that, I use MAC's finishing powder to set my foundation and concealer.
I do a quick contour with MAC's Refined Golden bronzer in the hollows of my cheeks, down my nose, under my chin and my temples.
Since getting some sun over the holiday weekend, I also take the bronzer down my neck to make sure it blends better with my darker chest.
Then, a swipe of Nars Orgasm blush on my cheeks to complete my face.
Using my original Naked palette, I pop the color sin all over my lids
lightly line my lower lash line only with a black pencil liner and smudge out so it's not so harsh
and coat my top and bottom lashes with black mascara.
Last, I used Illume by Smashbox for a sheer wash of color.
That's all there is to it!
Bonus: If I want a quick pop of color on the lips, I'll switch out the lipgloss for Tarte's Glamazon Pure Performance 12 hour lipstick.
Products Used:
MUFE Mat Velvet + (I use shade 35)
MAC Bronzer (Refined Golden)
Nars Blush (Orgasm)
