Irresistible Blueberry Bakeshop & Cafe: A Book Review

I don't know what's going on with the book market this summer, but I haven't found a whole lot of new books that I'm dying to read. As a self-described book nerd, that's saying a lot. I did just finish one, however, that I can actually recommend. The Irresistible Blueberry Bakeshop & Cafe is a fun, requires no thought kind of read that I really enjoy during the summer.

Ellen Branford, a successful New York attorney, finds herself in a small town in Maine on a final mission given from her late grandmother. She is to deliver a letter to a man that no one in her family has ever heard of. Ellen's first thought is just to drop the letter in the mail, but soon finds herself driving into her grandmother's hometown searching for this man. On the quest, Ellen begins to uncover some of her grandmother's secrets and starts tracking down former friends that can fill in holes Ellen never knew even existed.

While she's gone, Ellen also begins to struggle with her upcoming nuptials to another high power attorney from New York after a near drowning experience and rescue by a local named Roy. Roy is the quintessential, small town charmer who would make any woman swoon. So, I can't blame her. What happens next? You'll just have to read and find out.

Any great books you've read lately? Share them in the comments below. I'm desperately searching for more to read.
