Weekend Haul

I'm definitely avoiding having to claim another digit to my years on earth. I mean 27 just sounds soo OLD! How did I get here? This morning on my way to work, I was listening to an anxious freshman getting ready to start her first class of freshman year at UCF. Eight years ago, I was that girl getting ready to walk into my 10am ENC1101 class at FAU (although I wasn't nervous). Yet, here I am, eight years later, getting ready to turn another year older and I'm still trying to figure out where the time went.

That was completely off topic from my weekend haul, but it kind of transistions well (If I hadn't put this sentence in of course). I seem to have hit the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow by having my birthday positioned right after school starts back up, at the same time fall lines are being released and on the same weekend as Labor Day sales. I also love that stores send me birthday mail with extra discounts and that they start showing up about two weeks before my birthday.

I feel the most inclined to spend money on things I want around my birthday. The retail therapy makes me feel better I suppose and I mean, when else do I get to spoil myself? This weekend my mom and I went over to Winter Park for breakfast and to pop in and out of a few shops. I had received a $10 off $25 or more purchase at Origins and the closest retail store is Park Ave.

I'll quit talking typing and get right into it.
 1. Incognito in Sausalito OPI San Francisco collection // 2. Instant healthy hair treatment 12 Benefits // 3. Liquid Lipstick "carina" Stila // 4. lip butter "mango" Korres // 5. Ginzing eye cream Origins // 6. Ginzing face moisturizer Origins // 7. In the Cable car-pool lane OPI San Francisco collection // 8. Showoff Lip laquer "apocalyptic" Rimmel // 9. Jasmin noir Bvlgari // 10. Showoff Lip laquer "big bang" Rimmel // 11. Origins free gift // forgot to mark: Argan oil light Josie Maran
I am addicted to the ginzing eye cream from Origins and use it every morning. I had also been using the Vitazing face moisturizer, but didn't really like that it was tinted since I was using it under foundation. Origins recently debuted a new face moisturizer though and I really wanted to try it. It's the Ginzing energy boosting moisturizer. It has no tint to it,  oil-free and works to perk up your face much like the eye cream. I used my birthday mailer for $10 off my $25 or more purchase and then also received a free gift to celebrate the upcoming Ojon release in Origins' stores.
I had never seen the Bvlgari Jasmin Noir  perfume before, but loved the smell of it. I don't need another full size bottle of perfume, so I just got the deluxe sample size. I've also been dying to get my hands on some of the San Francisco by OPI nail polishes. There's something about that city that sticks with you after you've gone. I get this nostalgic, sappy feeling every time I see karlthefog or juliahengel posting pictures on Instagram.
This leave-in treatment is just hands down the best thing in the entire world. I ran out of it a while ago and couldn't get back to the salon to get another bottle, so I went a few weeks without it and now I know I can never live without it.
I think it's safe to say my newest beauty addiction is a bright lip. for months now, I can't get enough of it. I'm also seriously addicted to Josie Maran's argan oil and was so happy to see she released a "light" version of the cult oil. It may be the closest thing we'll have to the fountain of youth.
These Rimmel lip laquers can only be found at Walgreens and even then I think it's participating stores, but the are awesome! I bought one in "stellar" and then went back and picked up both of these colors as well. Liquid lipstick is definitely the way to go for me right now. It applies like a gloss, so it's easier to apply and the color lasts.
I have really been loving Gap lately. The sales are awesome, the clothes are classic and everything just fits. This weekend they were running between 30-40% off on tops and jeans. So, I picked up 5 (yes 5) shirts for just $50. I don't even think I can pull that off at Target at full price.
I can't wait to throw this on under a blazer in the fall.
I love how this shirt will transition from summer to fall very easily with the addition of a cardigan, blazer or denim jacket.
I have been waiting forever for this coaster set and coffee mug to go on sale. I love traveling, so I thought the coasters would be cute and kitchy, but wasn't willing to pay full price for them. Same thing with the coffee mug; I wouldn't have paid full price for it, but sale plus 5% off with my redcard? I'm in.
That's what my weekend looked like. Oh, and a nasty electrical storm knocked out the internet at the house Saturday and the only part of the cable company that was open was the customer service line. No store open to pick up another internet cable box and no one to come out to the house with a new one either. So, we went the rest of the weekend without internet. I felt like I had fallen off the grid and that no one could find me (exaggeration? maybe). #firstworldproblems
