While Florida hasn't dealt with Polar Vortexes or city shut downs from snow, we have had a lot of rain lately. So much so, that I always make sure my rain jacket is in the car. That's one thing about living here, you've always got to be prepared for the weather to change and then change back in 10 minutes. I don't know how many times I've been stuck somewhere, waiting out a monsoon style rainstorm because the sun had been out before I got out of the car.
Oh, and it floods here...quite a bit. There's nothing worse than wearing skinny jeans that you can't pull up over your calves (you know exactly what I'm talking about) and having to wade through a puddle that's higher than your ankles. It's gotten to the point where I also keep my rain boots in my car.
The rain might have an adverse affect on your hair day, but it doesn't mean you can't still look cute, while also being prepared for whatever weather might come your way. Comfortable clothing, that you don't have to fuss with, is key for a rainy day. I usually opt for jeans, a loose button down shirt, minimalistic jewelry and then my rainstorm essentials.
