To say it's hot here in Florida would be a major understatement, and dressing for work gets difficult because I can't just roll out in denim cut-offs and a tank everyday. Luckily, I can wear jeans to work, so I've been living in some thinner jeans I found at Old Navy; my favorite cut is the Diva. I'm pretty straight from the waist down—no curves here. The Diva jeans, while they are made for straighter figured girls, they somehow lend the look of curves to my lower half. Great jeans are like magicians in my book.
My tops of choice have been looser, but still have a good fit to them, so they aren't too loose. There's a fine line between loose and too loose. To avoid the balloon look, I tend to go down one size from my normal and it always works well. This way, your top is still loose like it should be, but it's fitted enough that you don't look like a whale.
I don't know how I'd get through the work day without flats. I tend to spend a lot of my days running from one end of the office to the other, and pumps don't really work so great for the mileage I put on my feet in eight hours. So, I do tend to reach more for flats.
