Off the Beaten Path

Florida isn't called the "Swamp Land" for nothin'! So many areas of Florida are beautiful,  pristine beaches and gorgeous cities built on the water, but it's only when you wander back into the brush that you start to see the real Florida.

I love that I can mill around my small town for shopping or dinners out on the large patio at Pisces Rising, with a great spot for sunsets across the lake, but in just a few steps I can be off the beaten path, and experience what Florida is all about. On any given day, you can take a scenic boat tour or train ride through town and feel like you've been transported to the old south and that old Florida charm.

That old south nostalgia is embodied in the spanish moss that hangs from the old oak trees, it's the scent of jasmine on an evening run or the swishing of the canal water behind an alligator's tail.
