I have been waiting to share this book with you, and since it's finally available today I figured it was as good a time as any. I was sent an Advanced Reader's Edition back in March from Crown Publishing. (I'll admit, there's nothing quite as exciting as getting mail from a publishing house—unless they were writing to tell me they were going to publish a book I had written. Hey, a girl can dream, right?)
Eliza Kennedy is a new author on the scene with her book titled, I Take You.
Lily Wilder is New York lawyer who is actually from Key West, has family issues out the wahzoo, and can't be faithful to save her life. The problem is, she's engaged and all of her family issues are present and accounted for in Key West the week of the wedding.
Anything that can go wrong, does go wrong.
Lily has a deposition she has to work in South Florida just days before her wedding, and it's a disaster. Her fiancee is a dream boat, everyone loves him, but they spend the entire week trying to convince Lily to call off her wedding because of her infidelities and inability to actually love one man for the rest of her life. This persuasion comes from her grandmother, her mother and two former step-mothers, who just so happen to all be the best of friends now that they've all been divorced from Lily's father. Like I said, family issues out the wahzoo! That's not even all the drama packed into this book. You're just going to have to give it a read for yourself.
