Smoky Mountain Roasters

Deep in the heart of the western North Carolina mountains sits a cute little town (among many others), called Waynesville. In the Haywood district of Waynesville is the best coffee shop EVER! Smoky Mountain Roasters roasts their own beans daily, whips up the yummiest of concoctions, and sells their own organic, fair trade, shade grown coffees also. Buy a pound (or two) and you'll never have to go a day without their amazing coffee in your mug.

Most of our days in North Carolina are casual and involve some sort of exploring. Meet that with cool mornings and evenings and it becomes a lot of sweaters, jeans, leggings and tennis shoes. Any day can bring varying locations; a lot of times we'll start in town and then branch out farther into the mountains for amateur hikes (we mainly do them to take pictures) and waterfall hopping. I don't think there's anything more beautiful than a huge thundering waterfall coming down over a huge mountain. It's simply indescribable.

Anyway, since our scenery seems to change on an hourly basis, my outfits stay very casual, but to keep things a bit nicer before we head out to explore nature, I tend to throw on a statement necklace and/or handbag. I've been known to shed these things later in the day though.
If you ever have the chance to stop in Smoky Mountain Roasters, my favorites include the iced dirty chai or iced vanilla latte on warmer days and the chai latte and Guatemalan roast fresh brew on colder days.

Hey Mom!
