How to Refresh Your Day Look for Night

There comes a point in our busy lives when we need to be somewhere after work, but don't have enough time to fully start our beauty routines from scratch with a shower and everything else. Usually, I can at least swing an hour to freshen myself up and feel confident walking into any after hours type of situation. We're talking refresh my hair and completely re-do my makeup in an hour. Then, all I have to do is throw on a new outfit, and I am back out to door to whatever plans I have for the evening.

First, I start by removing all my eye makeup I had on during the day and wash my face. I love Estée Lauder Makeup Remover and Origins Zero Oil Face Wash for this first step. Next, I apply a face moisturizer, like Origins Ginzing Face Moisturizer, which I then follow up with Estée Lauder Face Primer all over my face, Smashbox Undereye Primer, and NYX Eyeshadow Primer.
For this event, I was attending a grand opening here in town, so I went with a smoky look. I used the Urban Decay Smoky Palette. I started with Combust in my crease to keep the look from getting too cool toned. I then layered Password over Combust in my crease and pulled it down onto my outer lid a bit. Then, I took Black Market to the outer corner, pulling it onto my lid in a sideways V shape at the outer corner. To brighten up my inner corner, I lightly placed High and then blended it toward the center, where I then added a touch of Radar to once again warm up some of the cooler toned colors.

After that, I went in with the Naked Concealer under my eyes and on some uneven spots on my face. Then, I used the Dior Star Foundation. I set my under-eye concealer with Laura Mercier Transparent Powder and set my face with MAC Mineralize Skin Finish. Next, I contoured with Nars Laguna, added Benefit's Rockateur to my cheeks and Becca Shimmering Powder to the tops of my cheekbones.
I finished up my makeup by filling in my brows and setting them with the Anastasia Brow Wiz and Dior Browstyler Gel. Then, I added liner to my top and bottom lash lines with Dior Waterproof Pro Liner and swiped a coat of Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara to bottom and top lashes. For lips, I used this Nars Lip Pencil and topped with this Chanel lipstick.
To refresh my hair, I used dry shampoo on my roots and worked in with my fingers. I brushed though my hair to remove any extra powder and help lift my roots a bit more. I then curled my hair with my Hot Tools 2in. Curling Iron, added some texture with Blow Pro Texturizing Spray and topped with hairspray.
