Then, I came home to jury duty yesterday. I am not a morning person and it killed me to be at the courthouse by 7:45am. A bit dramatic? Not for me. Sitting in a cold, bland room with a bunch of strangers and a "garden" that became the smokers retreat real quick is not my idea of a fun Monday morning—especially with a 7:45 call time.
Thankfully, I was released by 2pm and was on to better things, and by better things I mean in lulu leggings and a comfy T by 3pm and backing up all my devices so I could do the new iPhone and iPad update. I live such an entertaining life...
A few of my favorite things lately:
I have been LIVING in this Express top, and I've convinced my mom and bestie they both needed this shirt in their lives, which they agreed. So, now I'm telling you—you NEED this shirt. It's under $20 and is the softest thing you'll put on your body and you can wear it straight through to Spring. I own the black, olive green and merlot colors. #sorrynotsorry
I can't wait to run home and try on these boots today! I used the VIP code on Macy's website and got them for $60. I love my Hunter Boots, but sometimes a girl just needs to be able to pull on ankle height rain boots and get out the door. I can't wait to see how cute they'll be with skinny jeans, and if you see an over abundance of them in upcoming blog posts, don't judge.
The Pumpkin Spice latte is my favorite, but I live in Florida, so I've been ordering mine iced, cut the syrup to half and get skim milk. Then, I don't have to kill myself to work off all those empty calories.
I love Julep's polishes and their lipsticks are pretty fantastic too. If you use this link, you get your first box free.
We have tickets to see Cinderella at the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center in November and I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself. I'm thinking of using Rent the Runway for a dress. Something I can wear tights and booties with because it'll finally be cool enough by November for that.
I am 100% obsessed with Chanel's coco shine lipsticks. They are light and moisturizing without intense color. They are great for work or a more casual night out when you don't want to fuss with a mirror to reapply after one too many cocktails.
I've gotten back into my reading groove lately, and have ordered so many books. I just finished The Liar and loved it. I'm halfway through Cold Tangerines, and I would be farther, but I'm not letting myself rush through it. I also have this one, this one, this one and this one waiting on my nightstand.
Last but not least, I am ecstatic that tomorrow is the first official day of FALL! I feel like I need a Fall Bucketlist to keep track of all the things I want to do. Basic? Maybe, but I don't care. #HelloFall
