Beauty Review: Marie Ernst

Beauty products. I love everything about them: the way they make your skin feel, the way they smell, and the luxurious zen vibe they provide. Honestly, is there anything better than a long, hot bath or shower at the end of a crazy busy day? If I'm going to do the whole "pampering at home" thing, I'm going to do it up. First, I'll remove all my makeup, wash my face, and then apply a heavenly face mask. Then, I'm going to pour a glass of wine, find my favorite Spotify playlist, light a candle (or six) and I'm going to soak in the oversized tub with bubbles up to my nose.

Once my skin is good and softened from the warm water, I exfoliate my skin and then use a moisturizing soap afterward to make my skin feel like a baby's bottom. Usually I have to use two different products to achieve what I want, but now Marie Ernst has combined two steps into one. The soap comes in two boxes—two halves of differing soaps that fit together. One side is a pumice soap to slough of dead skin cells and smooth your skin; the other side is the emollient side, which repairs and hydrates your skin. The Patchouli Lavendula scent—#InLove!

The whole idea is that you connect the two halves into one bar of soap. That way, you just flip to the other side when you're ready. I love this because it removes an entire extra step in the tub, which provides more time to sip that wine you brought with you.
You'll want to remove each half from their respective packaging (obviously), then wet each half of soap and connect together so the tabs and holes line up, then push together. Ta-da! You have one bar of soap!

Marie Ernst soap was sent to me for review, but all opinions are my own.
Soaps will not be available for purchase unless Kickstarter campaign is 100% funded.
