Monthly 5 | February 2016

I meant to start these posts in January, but alas it's February, but better late than never! I thought this would be a fun way to keep y'all in the loop and share some of my favorite monthly items. Most times these things won't have made it into another blog post during the month, so it'll be newly curated items that I've been putting to good use or just discovered during the month.

One: She Reads Truth App + Email Subscription
I love the quick, easy to digest devotionals from She Reads Truth. If you download the app to your phone, you can download free and for purchase reading plans. You can also subscribe to their daily emails and get the same plans at no cost. If you're looking to do a Bible study, you can purchase the plan booklets, which come with beautifully illustrated books, art prints and scripture cards. I also just saw that they started a monthly plan subscription. So, each month you're sent the next devotional book. When you're done, you'll have some of the most beautiful books lined on your bookshelf for easy access when you need to dive back in to a particular subject.

Two: Ashley Brooke Designs Hello Sunshine Mug
There is something about drinking my morning coffee (or afternoon pick-me-up) out of an Ashley Brooke Designs mug. I feel like I can take on the world with a little sass or reshape my day if the morning had gotten me off to a rocky start. The girly sass gives me just enough pep to find my step, and make the journey to Friday. I'm particularly fond of the Hello Sunshine mug right now because: gold foil!

Three: Kate Spade Dipped Initial Notebook
I won't lie to you; I am a paper addict. Pens, pencils, notebooks, journals, sticky notes; the list goes on and on. I love pretty paper and the things that go with it. I find that I enjoy writing things down if I'm doing so on a pretty list pad or inside a pretty journal. I love the simplicity of this dipped Initial notebook (new from Kate Spade) and I also love that each letter is dipped in a different color, which is perfect for us girls who still want to be a bit unique.

Four: Tarte Tarteist Lip Paints
Long-wearing, feels like velvet when you apply, the richest and creamiest color—seriously these lip paints are my favorite right now!

Five: Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment w/ Avocado
Nordstrom can be the Devil (I'm sorry Nordstrom, I mean this in the best way possible) because they send all kinds of fun free samples any time you place an online beauty order, which I tend to a lot. One reason: free shipping all the time; second reason: beauty counter girls can be pushy. Sometimes a girl just needs a new bottle of foundation and doesn't want to have to go on defense against a counter girl. The real point here is, Nordstrom sent me a sample of the Kiehl's eye cream, and OMG! I have never put anything so amazing under my eyes. It starts out as a creamy moisturizer, and as you rub it into your skin it turns into this weirdly amazing, cool, liquid-type feeling. I'm doing an awful job of explaining it, but it's so good! I purchased the full size jar (from Nordstrom--obviously) and it should show up on my doorstep any day now. I can't wait!
