Monthly 5 | May

I don't know how this month turned into all beauty related items, but I just couldn't wait to share these items with you. I was on a bit of a beauty product trying hiatus because I hadn't found anything new and exciting worth the purchase, but these five items are pretty dang great!

One: Tarte Lash Paint // I don't typically like plastic mascara brushes, but this mascara is so good it doesn't even matter. This lash paint is blacker than black, goes on smooth, doesn't clump and wears all day, even in the Florida heat. I am obsessed, y'all!

Two: Tarte Tease // I was kicking around the Tartelette palette, and ultimately decided I just didn't need it. Then, I saw the Tease palette on an end-cap and picked that up for half the price of the Tartelette palette. The six colors are the perfect six shades for a day or night look, and it's so easy to slide in a purse for touch-ups after work or pack for vacation when I you don't want to deal with a bulky palette. The shades are beautiful and long wearing. And I actually think I'm happier with this palette than I would have been with the larger one.

Three: AG Dry Wax // I was on the hunt for a dry texture spray to use when I curl my hair. I love the beachy, messy texture it lends to perfectly curled hair. So, I spotted this one at Ulta, and at first purchased the travel size can, just to see if I'd like it. Oh my gosh, y'all, it's amazing! It smells good, it makes my curls look messy and lived in without looking unkempt, it helps fight frizz and flyaways and it lasts all day. I cannot say enough good things about this dry wax.

Four: Estee Edit Pore Vanishing Stick // I received a sample of the pore vanishing stick in a Sephora order a while back, and hadn't bothered to try it—until a few weeks ago, and it changed my life. Well, that's a bit dramatic, but you know what I mean. I rubbed the stick over my cheek area just next to my nose because that's where my pores are most visible, and literally, as I watched, the stick blurred my pores enough where I really could not see them like I could before. It was so crazy, and so cool to see a product actually do what the product says it will do. I had a pretty large sample, so I've got quite a bit left, but I will be purchasing a full size when I'm done with the sample.

Five: L'Oreal Lumi Cushion foundation // I'm not a drugstore foundation kind of person; I can never find the right shade or the right formula or anything that lasts all day. So, when the hype around the Lumi Cushion foundation came out, I just didn't care. Then, I saw a review on Youtube by one of my favorite beauty bloggers, and caved on purchasing. This stuff is actually pretty fantastic. The packaging is genius for trips or gym bags or after work touchups. The formula and wear is a lot like my Dior Nude Air foundation, but way cheaper, and it lasts pretty well. My Dior foundation does last longer, but for a drugstore product, the Lumi Cushion knocks it out of the park. I love this for days when I work from home or on the weekends when I need to run a few errands, but don't want to use $50 foundation for a Target run.
