Christmas Home Tour

Decorating for Christmas is one of my favorite things to do. I love the glow of the warm lights on a huge Christmas tree, icicle lights twinkling in the windows, the scent of Frasier fir wafting through the house as it mingles with fresh baked cookies straight out of the oven.

For my first Tennessee Christmas, I wanted my home to feel extra cozy—especially since the seasonal temperatures will actually match the holiday feels.

7.5 ft. Tree: Lowe's | Tree Topper: Target | Tree Skit: Hobby Lobby
My ceilings are 9ft, so the 7.5 foot tree is the perfect height, and I had plenty of room for a rustic tree topper. I'm not a huge fan of ornaments, so a naked tree with tons of lights is always my preference. Ornaments feel cluttered to me, so I shy away from them on a big tree. I do have some collected ornaments from special places I've been that are still put away. I kicked around adding some ribbon to the tree—I did a really cute buffalo check ribbon on my mom's tree last year and it was really cute—but ultimately decided against it.

Cabin Getaway Candle: Candelles | Wood Riser: Pottery Barn | Lantern: Pottery Barn | Candle: Hearth & Home at Target | Tree and Battery Lights: Target | Coffee Table: Ashley Furniture
Serving Board: West Elm | Bottle Brush Tree: Target | Letterboard: Hobby Lobby
Tree Skirt: Hobby Lobby | Slippers: Target
Christmas and plaid are synonymous in my world, so when I saw the plaid trimmed tree skirt I knew it was perfect. Hobby Lobby has been running 50% off all of Christmas decor for at least a month now, and every time I pop in there I seem to walk out with something else.
